We put robots where they are never supposed to be.

To put it simply, we build robots!  Ones that are made to drive underwater. If you have done robotics (such as FIRST) before, you can think of our team as a kind of graduate school where you can continue to work in the world of robotics more independently.  If you haven’t, you can come to learn and explore this diverse field.

Want to Get Involved?

Our team is always looking for talented individuals looking to build their design skills.

What Do We Do?

We design, build, program, and test underwater robots to help progress the future of innovation. Our main focus is competing in the MATE ROV competition, an organization dedicated to bringing together top engineering groups from around the world with the hope to solve real-world problems.  In addition to that, we are also constantly researching new technology to help increase our productivity, and share with other design teams.

Where Do You Fit In?

We are open to any major, but we mainly focus on Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Management, Business and Management Systems, Information Science and Technology, Technical Communication, and Physics.

What Will You Gain?

Our members can gain a variety of skills depending on which of our four sub-teams they choose.  These skills include, but are not limited to, 3D Modeling, 3D Printing, CNC Mill and Lathe, Electronic Circuit Board Design, THT and SMD Soldering, C+ Programing, WordPress, Video Editing, Photo Editing, and Technical Documentation.

What Sets Us Apart?

We like to think of our team as more of a family dedicated to the same goal.  Our team is always working hard in the Student Design Center, but we also make the time to get to know members personally, and do our best to make you feel welcome. Plus, due to the nature of our team, we get to spend a lot of time in the water, testing our ROV.

Have a Question?
